2018 Scholarship Recipients

AIMEE SANCHEZ
Ms. Sanchez will attend Texas State University next year to study Pre-Law to pursue her career goal of becoming a District Attorney.

TRAVIS FAIRLEY
Mr. Fairley will attend Belmont University in Nashville, TN to study Commercial Music to purse his career in professional music.
The Social Science Club (SSC) was organized in 1894 with an objective to promote better acquaintance among those interested in educational attainments and to enlarge the opportunities for intellectual development and service to mankind and to one’s community. The funds raised through the annual Tour of Homes is proudly used to award scholarships to graduating Terrell High School students. In addition to scholarships, the SCC supports the TISD Academic Excellence Foundation, the Terrell Share Center, Terrell Heritage Society, E-Terrell, and the Hulsey Public Library.
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
This scholarship is offered to a student planning to attend college in the following year and meets the following requirements:
RESIDENCY
Applicant must be a student of the Terrell Independent School District.
GRADE POINT AVERAGE
Applicant must have maintained a minimum of a "B" or 3.0 average (on a 4.0 scale) for the past two years.
REQUIREMENTS
Open to any student withiN the Terrell Independent School District (TISD). The Applicant must be a graduating senior at the time of application.
ESSAY
Applicant must include an essay titled "Life in a Small Town"
